Passion for the Music
"So, I’m hooked. Dieux’s music is remarkable. This is not just another indie project. It is the revelation of something musically important. The Band has a very special relationship that feeds their style. It’s almost hard to describe. For lack of a better definition or context, they are masterful at what they do as musicians, composers and lyricist. They keep it simple and allow the complexity within the simplicity to weave its spell. They are world class. Some highlights for me. Lady Nirvana. Delicate guitar work, subtleties tendered with masterful technique, seamless musical dialogues between guitars. The Dancer & The Calm. The musical ghost of a young Leonard Cohen is intoxicating, seductive in its lyrical charm. Blissful Wizard. Light and whimsical, it inspires images of pixies, elves and creatures of the earth dancing in fantastical meadows. Zen and the Art of Music takes me back to Donovan (Mellow Yellow) with a twist of retro pop and mildly funky overtones. A clean, detailed mix brings it all together. Overall, I love the inherent syncopation and melodic manifestations of their work. Everything seams together and one doesn’t have to work at listening to the music. It grabs you in your moment and fits into your mood. It bends, ebbs and flows, pulls you along, and sometimes carries the mind wherever they (and you) want to go. Dieux Music is distinctive, certainly. More so, they are in a class of their own. Their music and lyrics have purpose, and they deliver with remarkable musicianship and intention. I love listening to them, over and over, and over, and ……" ~ Michael Kryton (Writer-Producer-Director)
“My dear friends, what a totally awesome and love filled energy and goose bumps your video blessed me with. I raised my arms up and outward in loving gratitude, not only for this from-the-heart creation but for all those creations you are inspired and moved to share. After each session of chemo I have recently under gone, I have found great comfort and positive energy in your music and videos shared and felt a deep, healing connection through The Universe. Please accept my deepest and loving gratitude. Perhaps if you ever visit Edmonton, we can share tea and conversation. Peace be the journey we share. Mindfully, Chan-Do”
“Have you ever woken up to a dewy summer morning breeze... laying secure in the safety of the season's warmth surrounding you as the breeze dances Freely... fresh with nothing but the promise of the day waiting like a pregnant pause full of good and peace, promises, memories, future hopes, or innocent Love. Dieux Music will take you there like a gentle whisper in your ear from a loving mother, a loving baby's gaze or a touch from new love or even a hug from an old trusted partner... Wrap yourself with these songs like a warm blanket in front of a fire on a comfortable couch as you allow the flame to warm you, nestled in the forest miles from nowhere. Or when a butterfly floats through your field of vision as you rise to kiss the sky and feel what it means to be free. You recognize the peace of pure being in its simplest form with the subtleness to recognize what is mystique, allowing the veil to fall. Like Full Moon Heart, these songs will peel you open, the fruit of what always was YOU ready to experience and recognize what never left... divine being... Freedom... Be Still and listen... Thank you Dieux. This music Transcends... it's ok... Caterpillar! Great things are happening! ~ Sincerely” ~ Patrice J Sauve (Joy One Productions)
