Today we sat. I did a guided meditation for friends. We just sat. There was nothing to do. Just sitting. Just sitting and watching what is. We weren’t trying to figure anything out. We weren’t trying to achieve anything. We weren’t trying to become better. Just sitting. Just watching. What is. We just watched the breath and anything that arises, we just allowed. Often in life there are things that grab our attention. Events, causes, movements, situations that grab our attention and we work with them or we work against them. With meditation we just watch. We just observe what is. Were not trying to change anything and ironically meditation is the best context for change and transformation. Often when we try to change something there is a subtle fight with what is and that becomes our investment in not changing things. Our charge with how we want things becomes the obstacle. With meditation, we just watch what is. No need to change anything. And in not needing to change anything, everything is changed. Real change happens and is possible when the fight with what is, is dropped. Take a breath right now, be breathed. Such a perfect moment. Why not enjoy it. Somehow life is extraordinarily perfect. Somehow this very moment is Awesome. Namaste
